Adult Space Academy runs a longer, multi-night stay in Alabama. We file it under science and space. It's in this directory because it's a real camp, with bunks and a schedule and the whole apparatus, built for adults on purpose.
The most famous themed camp in America runs a grown-ups-only version: Adult Space Academy at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville packs astronaut training simulators, the multi-axis trainer, and a simulated shuttle mission into a three-day weekend with meals and habitat lodging included. Multiple weekend sessions run year-round in 2026 at $799, with a $1,999 week-long Advanced Academy for the truly committed.
The experience
The format: recurring 3-day weekend sleepaway (week-long Advanced Academy also offered). The longer run is the point. By day three the group stops being strangers, and that's the part people come back for. Adults only, which changes the tone more than you might expect. Everyone there chose it for themselves.
Cost
Published price: $799 USD weekend; $1,999 week-long Advanced. That's the going rate. Most all-inclusive camp weekends in North America land between $400 and $1,000. Check what the ticket covers before comparing camps. Whether lodging, meals, and transport are bundled moves the true cost more than the ticket price does.
