Camp BYOB runs a weekend sleepaway in Illinois. We file it under classic sleepaway. It's in this directory because it's a real camp, with bunks and a schedule and the whole apparatus, built for adults on purpose.
Ananse Events runs Camp BYOB as Chicagoland's 21+ summer camp weekend at a lakeside camp in Ingleside, blending nostalgia programming, nature, theme parties, and the 'power of play' into a sleepaway format. It sells through Eventbrite and pitches itself squarely at adults chasing the bunks-and-bonfires experience rather than a music festival.
The experience
The format: weekend sleepaway. The weekend length keeps the ask small. Arrive Friday, hand your schedule to someone else, be home by Monday. Adults only, which changes the tone more than you might expect. Everyone there chose it for themselves.
Cost
Published price: ticketed via Eventbrite. There's no simple rate card, so ignore any number you see on a third-party site and ask the operator. For calibration: most all-inclusive adult camp weekends in North America run $400 to $1,000.
Where and when
The venue is in Ingleside, Illinois. The current schedule: August 28, 2026 weekend.
