Camp Chief Ouray Adult Camp is a classic sleepaway camp for adults in Colorado. It runs as a longer, multi-night stay: you stay over, someone else plans the days, and the group eats together. That's the pitch, and it's enough.
The century-old YMCA camp at Snow Mountain Ranch runs a dedicated adult session pitched largely at campers 50 and up, with lodge accommodations at 8,750 feet in the Colorado Rockies. Expect a genuine camp schedule (archery, hiking, crafts, campfires) rather than a resort stay, at a nonprofit price point around $400. One of the few adult camps run by a major youth-camp institution.
The experience
The format: week-long sleepaway (4 nights). It's a longer stay. The awkwardness burns off in the first day or so; the rest is pure camp. It's adults only: no kids programming, no family sessions mixed in.
Cost
Published price: ~$400 USD. That's the cheap end of the market, where most all-inclusive weekends run $400 to $1,000. Cheap here usually means volunteers or subsidy, not corner-cutting. Check what the ticket covers before comparing camps. Whether lodging, meals, and transport are bundled moves the true cost more than the ticket price does.
