Camp RoundUp runs a weekend sleepaway in Ohio. We file it under women's. It's in this directory because it's a real camp, with bunks and a schedule and the whole apparatus, built for adults on purpose.
Founded in 2022 by Alison Rampa and Erica Chiseck, Camp RoundUp is an unapologetically pro-fat summer camp for 'ladies and theydies' 21+, covered by NPR for its swim-dance-play-celebrate ethos. Campers stay in retro cabins at Camp O'Bannon outside Columbus and eat classic camp comfort food without diet talk. Demand has outstripped bunks, and 2026 runs over Labor Day weekend.
The experience
The format: weekend sleepaway (3 days / 2 nights, 21+). The weekend length keeps the ask small. Arrive Friday, hand your schedule to someone else, be home by Monday. Adults only, which changes the tone more than you might expect. Everyone there chose it for themselves.
Cost
Published price: a few hundred USD including cabins and six meals. There's no simple rate card, so ignore any number you see on a third-party site and ask the operator. For calibration: most all-inclusive adult camp weekends in North America run $400 to $1,000.
