Camp Tanamakoon September Adult Program is based in Ontario, Canada and runs a longer, multi-night stay. Its angle is classic camp for older adults / fall art camp. The fact sheet above has the hard numbers; the rest of this page is context.
When the kids leave, this century-old Algonquin Park girls' camp runs six-day adult weeks for campers 55+, with canoeing, swimming, crafts, and lakeside downtime on Tanamakoon Lake. An October 'Images' week lets adults paint the same fall landscapes that inspired Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven. Rare week-long (not weekend) format for the older-adult segment.
The experience
The format: 6-day week-long sleepaway, two September sessions plus an October art week. Plan real time off. This runs longer than a weekend, and the extra nights are where the camp part actually happens. Campers are adults only.
Cost
