Camp Nerd Fitness is run by Steve Kamb, Nerd Fitness, one of the largest online fitness communities of the mid-2010s. The format is a longer, multi-night stay in Georgia, and the ticket is really a pass into the community. The archery is set dressing.
Steve Kamb's Nerd Fitness community gathered over 400 members from around the world in the north Georgia mountains for camps blending workouts, quests, and tabletop nerdery. The final in-person camp ran in fall 2016, after which the team channeled the experience into the online Rising Heroes program. A famous early entrant in the adult-camp wave, now long defunct as a physical event.
The experience
The format: multi-day sleepaway (4-5 days, ~400 campers). Plan real time off. This runs longer than a weekend, and the extra nights are where the camp part actually happens. Campers are adults only.
Cost
When it last ran, tickets were $849-1,049 USD (historical). That's the going rate. Most all-inclusive camp weekends in North America land between $400 and $1,000.
