It is run by Steve Kamb, Nerd Fitness, one of the largest online fitness communities of the mid-2010s. The format is a longer, multi-night immersion in Georgia, and the draw is less the archery than the chance to spend real time inside a community that normally only exists in a comment section.

Steve Kamb's Nerd Fitness community gathered over 400 members from around the world in the north Georgia mountains for camps blending workouts, quests, and tabletop nerdery. The final in-person camp ran in fall 2016, after which the team channeled the experience into the online Rising Heroes program. A famous early entrant in the adult-camp wave, now long defunct as a physical event.
