Club Getaway is based in Connecticut and runs a weekend sleepaway. Its angle is classic sleepaway / sports and social resort camp. The fact sheet above has the hard numbers; the rest of this page is context.

The granddaddy of the format: a 300-acre permanent camp resort in Connecticut's Berkshire foothills that has run programmed adult weekends since the 1970s, later starring in Bravo's Camp Getaway. Weekends bundle cabins, meals, waterfront sports, ropes courses, and nightly entertainment about 90 minutes from NYC. It also hosts themed takeover weekends and family sessions across the season.

The experience

The format: recurring weekend sleepaway (2-3 nights) at a permanent camp resort. A short sleepaway is the easiest first camp: long enough to drop your guard, short enough to gamble on. Campers are adults only.

Cost

Published price: $344-599+ USD starting rates. That's the cheap end of the market, where most all-inclusive weekends run $400 to $1,000. Cheap here usually means volunteers or subsidy, not corner-cutting. Check what the ticket covers before comparing camps. Whether lodging, meals, and transport are bundled moves the true cost more than the ticket price does.
