Camp Runabout runs a weekend sleepaway in Pennsylvania. We file it under sports. It's in this directory because it's a real camp, with bunks and a schedule and the whole apparatus, built for adults on purpose.
An all-inclusive Poconos summer camp built for the run-club crowd: mornings open with scenic group runs, then dissolve into zip lining, paddleboarding, ropes courses, and arts and crafts. Nights bring bonfires, guest speakers, live music, and a blowout theme party. It runs twice a year, in June and September.
The experience
The format: long-weekend sleepaway, two sessions per year. The weekend length keeps the ask small. Arrive Friday, hand your schedule to someone else, be home by Monday. Adults only, which changes the tone more than you might expect. Everyone there chose it for themselves.
Cost
Published price: all-inclusive; registration via RunSignUp. There's no simple rate card, so ignore any number you see on a third-party site and ask the operator. For calibration: most all-inclusive adult camp weekends in North America run $400 to $1,000.
