Dyke Camp is an LGBTQ+ camp for adults in Maryland. It runs as a weekend sleepaway: you stay over, someone else plans the days, and the group eats together. That's the pitch, and it's enough.

Founded by organizer Nic Pieta in 2025 on the premise that queer people should get to have fun in the woods together, Dyke Camp jumped from a 75-person weekend in upstate New York to 150+ campers taking over Camp Ramblewood in Maryland. Programming runs from linocut printing, canoeing, and pickleball to shibari classes, drag, speed dating, and lube wrestling. Chef-cooked meals and cabin bunks are included.

The experience

The format: weekend sleepaway (cabins, 8-10 per bunk). Two or three nights, all logistics handled. If you've never done an adult camp, this length is the on-ramp. It's adults only: no kids programming, no family sessions mixed in.

Cost

Published price: ticketed via Eventbrite; meals and cabin bed included. There's no simple rate card, so ignore any number you see on a third-party site and ask the operator. For calibration: most all-inclusive adult camp weekends in North America run $400 to $1,000.

The venue is in Darlington, Maryland. Dates, as best we can verify: June 5-7, 2026 at Camp Ramblewood.
