JoyCamp is what happens when an online community gets a physical address for a few days. Jacques Martiquet (The Party Scientist) (instagram / linkedin / speaking circuit) built the audience first (sober-rave community built across 15+ countries since 2017), then rented the camp. That order of operations is the signature of the influencer-camp wave, and it is why these events sell out faster than most established camps: the trust was earned long before tickets went on sale.

Jacques 'The Party Scientist' Martiquet, a former festival medic who built a following throwing sober raves, runs JoyCamp as a substance-free weekend camp in the North Carolina mountains. Days are stacked with games, nature, dance parties, and campfire singing under a strict no-phones, no-booze, no-egos rule. At $150-300 it's one of the cheapest tickets in the adult-camp space.

The experience

Practical picture: the format is weekend sleepaway (Fri-Sun). The weekend format keeps the commitment low: arrive Friday-ish, surrender to the schedule, and be back at your desk with stories by Monday or Tuesday.
