A beloved adult guitar camp running since 1974, where a few hundred players bunk at a woodsy camp on Washington's Kitsap Peninsula for week-long sessions. Classes span fingerstyle, blues, swing, songwriting, and vocals, with legendary late-night song circles. Four summer weeks plus winter and spring retreats keep it going year-round.

The experience

The format: week-long sleepaway camp, four summer sessions plus off-season retreats. Plan real time off. This runs longer than a weekend, and the extra nights are where the camp part actually happens. Campers are adults only.

Cost

Published price: roughly $1,000-1,500 USD per week including room and board. That's above the usual $400 to $1,000 weekend band. The premium generally buys longer sessions, real instruction, or a name on the ticket. Lodging and meals are bundled here, so the sticker price is close to the real price.
