Camp Mighty

Camp Mighty is what an online community looks like with bunk beds. It's run by Maggie Mason (blog), whose audience is pioneering lifestyle blogger (Mighty Girl). The bunks fill from that community, so nobody shows up cold.

OG mommy-blog-era creator Maggie Mason (Mighty Girl) ran Camp Mighty as a camp-flavored Palm Springs weekend where readers worked on their 'life lists' between pool parties, talent shows, and crafts at the Ace Hotel. Across its roughly five-year run it raised over $80K for charity: water. It's a defunct but historically important ancestor of today's influencer camps.

The experience

The format: annual weekend retreat, ran ~5 editions. The weekend length keeps the ask small. Arrive Friday, hand your schedule to someone else, be home by Monday. Adults only, which changes the tone more than you might expect. Everyone there chose it for themselves.

Cost

When it last ran, tickets were several hundred USD (historical). There's no simple rate card, so ignore any number you see on a third-party site and ask the operator. For calibration: most all-inclusive adult camp weekends in North America run $400 to $1,000.
