Soul Camp

Soul Camp is a purpose-built adult camp in the wellness & personal growth lane, based in New York. This is not a retreat center with a camp theme bolted on; the format is a longer, multi-night immersion with programmed activities, communal meals, and the deliberate structure of a real summer camp, aimed squarely at grown-ups.

Founded in 2014 by Michelle Goldblum (Garside) and Alison Leipzig, Soul Camp ran bicoastal 'sleepaway camp for the soul' weeks packed with yoga, sound baths, workshops, and color wars. The original East/West events wound down around 2019 as the founders focused on their Soul Camp Creative agency (soul.camp now redirects there), but the camp returned August 2025 as a hosted week at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. The experience

Practical picture: the format is week-long sleepaway (revived as a 5-night program at Omega Institute). This is a longer immersion, and the extra nights compound: the awkwardness burns off early and the remaining days are pure camp.
